Fred can call my views and suggestions as "carping", though I have said that
Goanet is stable. When I said "uniformity" I mean that a "controversial" post
could be bounced aroud among the moderators and, depending on the consensus,
could be allowed or rejected. Why is my suggestion that Herman step down
"bizzare"? If one does not have time to do any moderation, is it not fair to
ask him to step aside? My suggestion regarding Herman is "nonsense". I have
seen people in many groups ask their non-active chief to make way for someone
who could contribute more by taking some time to tackle pressing issues.
I have made it clear that the active volunteers are doing a good job and should
continue. So, in reality, I am not complaining. I have only endorsed what
Merwyn suggested. If Fred thinks this falls in the "carping" category then I
have no answer. I have not singled out Fred as a villian of Goanet admin team,
but thought I would also contribute my bit to the ongoing debate. Was that too
much for you?
Fred, are all those who made suggestions and a bit of criticism belong are of
the carping variety? It says so much for your own journalist's judgement.
Possibly if there was "uniformity" my "missives" on the Canada meet would not
go through. So what, at least I would have known that there was a consensus to
deny my posts. I would be a bit mad (like Cornel and others) and would have
said so on Goanet. In the end, it would not make a world of difference to me
being a subscriber to Goanet.
As for my post sent to Goajourno, it did not appear in my Inbox. Maybe I said
to myself that perhaps I missed it. So I did a search and still it did not show
up. Obviously, there is a technical glitch.
