I strongly object to hear we were Europeanized. We kept our Portuguese then Indian (after independence) passports in East Africa.
Some of us worked for English Banks with Banking degrees from London Institute of Bankers but were still treated as different from Overseas recruits from UK even though we had positions and official titles equal to white Europeans. This was up to our retirement. I would like to know exactly how and who were Europeanized. Are you talking about people who went to UK ? then I should be excluded.
