SUB:- Kerala XI edge over Goa XI Kerala XI V/S Goa XI This is an annual tradition to have an exhibition match between these two great soccer loving states and the spectators also look forward to the contest. The match started on a very friendly manner but picked up speed with both the teams trying to make good moves with the experienced play makers and supplying to their respective forwards to finish the ball into the net, but the young forwards failed to complete the task. The second half saw some spectacular moves from the Kerala XI and put Goa XI under pressure, but did not take long for the Kerala XI to change the score sheet. The only goal of the match came in the 15th minute of the second half by Shaji who beat the Goa XI goalkeeper as he was blocked by his defender. Goa XI tried to keep the pressure but could not get any change in the score sheet. Final score Kerala XI-1 While Goa XI -0 GAME PLAYED ON 02/10/2008 AT 6.30PM(COPA INDIA 2008 FINALS) SUB: Aldona United -Dubai Lift Copa India 2008 Ramadan Football Tournament Aldona United - Dubai V/S Zyco Dubai. Both teams balanced out with good moves into each others halves missing on targets & the keepers at both ends were very busy, the first half ended goalless. Second half was much more interesting & Aldona United took the lead in the very 2nd minute through Urban Borges who took advantage of the misunderstanding between the defenders & goalkeeper. Aldona United sealed the match with the 2nd goal scored in the 18th minute of the second half through Oswald Dias who received a well positioned ball from the right flank & did not have to put in much effort but simply tap the ball over Zyco Dubai goalkeeper. The starting minutes of the match did not witness any spectacular moves but as the match progressed both the sides made some good attempts besides both the goalkeepers made some unbelievable saves. The first half did not see any change in the score sheet. The second half saw both the team playing with zest & increased the tempo to a much higher level though the forwards of both sides did make good moves, tried all possible shorts at the post & that kept both the goalkeepers agile & active through out the second half. Finally the score did not change as it ended goalless & the teams went into a tie breaker. The tie breaker went in favor of Morjim Veterans and were crowned Champions of Copa Goa 2008 Ramadan Soccer Tournament.
