Dear Gaspar,

Gr8 to know that Gulab celebrations are taking place in Q8 with Mangaloreans
and Goans coming together to celebrate Konkani.

One small details seems to have been skipped: GULAB is printed in the Roman
Script; the Official Language of Goa is defined as "Konkani written in the
Devanagri script." So technically, the 'Konkani' written in the Gulab is NOT
the 'official language' of Goa, which please note. The SCRIPT is an issue with
the Official Languagge Act, 1987 ....and Devanagri script is supported by the
Gulab editor and publishers, while printing in Roman script to grab the
readership in Goa and the Gulf countries. Therein lies the rub.

Mog asundi.
