Temsion was averted this forenoon when some persons discovered some damage to
the ghumti ( rakhondar) and a temple just 100 meters away from the Petrol pump
at NUSI Cuncolim. Though buses were off the road for some time normalcy was
restored.
When this writer visited the site late evening there was peace in the nearby
residential area. Some persons who spoke to this writer and informed that it
is a practice to put offerings at the ghumti on certain week days.
Today being Dussehra the police did its best to avert any eventualites.
