TOI – GoaTimes stealing pics from the net? It’s true more and more Goan Newspapers now a days browsing thru net forums like Goanet etc just in case they find something interesting to be used wholly or patly in their print editions.
In today GoaTimes, front page, I have noted 3 Tiatr Stage Pics which are taken from JoeGoaUk’s Flickr.com account (see proof below) No permission taken nor any credit given for the pics What surprised me that few weeks ago I sent some pics of our senior tiatrist Remie Colaco (83) to all Goan dailies but none did the honour (Except GT who claimed it took from the net but due Cr was given as JoeGoaUk). In today’s edition (11/10/08) there was an article ‘No Small Feat’ which started thus: TIATR PISSUD NAKAT won 18 awards at a recent tiatr competition. Goa Times explores the secrete of their success. This was brought to my notice by one of my net friends. WE subscribe all 4 English dailies at home but not all the time we read all. I like to remind to all that any body can take my pics (even without waiting for my permission except TOI/H/GT/NT/BOOKs) but credit should always go to ‘JoeGoaUk’ . For some reason, if you think you are unable to use ‘JoeGoaUk’ , please don’t use my pics at all. And I am not asking the credit for the real person behind the JoeGoaUk And I am not asking any money.
