Litterateur Manohar Hiraba Sardesai no more
PANAJI (15Oct08) - The noted Goan Marathi litterateur Manohar Hiraba
Sardessai passed away Tuesday midnight. He was 89. Sardessai was also an
educationist, founder of Progress High School, Panaji, and had held the post
of director of Education.
He is survived by a son. The funeral will leave his Porvorim residence for
Panaji crematorium on Wednesday at 4 p.m. He had won a number of awards
including the prestigious Gomant Sharada Puraskar of Kala Academy.
