GIHAR - the new Goa "Goa state has now decided to change the name of its state GOA to GIHAR, with immediate effect."
The CM said, addressing a hastily called Press Conference in Panjim today. "With current (lack of) Law and Order situation, the Goan Aam Admi has pointed out that we resemble Bihar than the Susegad Goa. Acting on this timely suggestion, the learned Education Minister proposed to change the name of our dear state to GIHAR. In an unprecedented show of solidarity, the entire Cabinet passed accepted the suggestion. Therefore, Goa from now on will be known as GIHAR with immediate effect. Jai Gihar!" In addition to the most significant announcement about the change of name to GIHAR, the The Goa (Ooops, Gihar) Government today made a few significant announcement. Political analysts confirm that they will have long ranging impacts. In Annexure One to the Special Announcement, the Gihar Governent has announced several incentive schemes to the manufacturers/whole-sellers of the following items: 1) *Masks* in all sizes - from school going `children' to college going youngsters to grown up sizes. Unlike other places in the world, the Goan mask manufacturers need not worry about the opacity of the masks - wearers are guaranteed protection from teh highest sources. 2) *Iron Rods/wooden clubs/hockey* sticks and other weapons of `specialised destruction'. 3) *Grill Shutter doors with swift closing mechanism *allowing them to shut with speed (preventing victims from fleeing/helpful onlookers to come to the aid of the victims, inside restaurants and other establishments.) The CM went on to say, "We are confident that these new measures will attract manufacturers to rush to our state in large numbers.
