Hi Fred, the reason why i'm setting up a state of the art recording studio
in Goa is to record some of Goa's amazing music talent that just keep
passing away unsung in most cases. One such talent i remember, was the
singer Allishan. I got the opportunity to perform with him a few years
before he passed away. The moment i heard Allishan i knew exactly where Remo
got his voice from. After joining Remo's band for a short time a few years
later, i couldn't help but notice the stark similarity between Remo and
Allishan's singing style. Another great artiste that needs to be recorded is
Neville D'Souza, a retired industrialist from Porvorim, who has been a
closet musician all his life. I literally got blown away when he jammed with
my band at a recent gig in Goa. Neville is the only flautist i know of, who
can play two flutes simultaneously in two part harmony! Another great
artiste who could easily take Goa's music talent to a global level is singer
Chrystal Farrell, you can hear her for youself here:

And like these two, i have a whole list of amazingly talented Goan artistes
you'll hear very soon right out of my studio. It's really sad though, when
the rest of the country sees Goa as a music capital, Goan entertainment
managers look outside Goa for talent. It's high time Goan event organisers
took pride in and promoted the immense local talent, instead of blindly
promoting acts from all over the world just to boast of an outstation act.
Regards,
Colin D'Cruz
