I have been following the thread on Aires and Prajal facing the ire of a politician. It hurts to see such obnoxious things happening in 'Amchem Sobit Sundor ani Sovoskaiechem Goem'. (yeah.. it's the thing of the past). Everyone seems to be talking about justice prevailing to bring the culprits to justice. Please, I am not quoting anyone here. But don't we know that judiciary / justice (in India atleast) can be bought ? Don't we know that it take 'balls of steel' for a police officer of any rank to standup against a politician cum tycoon ? Justice is for aam admi folks not for people who has filled their house with pots and pots of money by using Goa as a 'randdi'. As someone rightly described it as "Rape of Goa". We got to wake up and rise in unison and protect whatever is left of Goa. Do not rely on Justice alone. Its got to be 'One Goa One Voice' by keeping our petty differences aside and fight the bigger enemy the politicians (or is it the system ?). Unless this happens there is nothing much going to happen to change the deteriorating situation. Violence could be the last resort but the very thought of united Goa is good enough to instil fear in the hearts of scoundrels. Monster-rat becomes a minister after his attack on a police station!! To say the least our Churchill-bab doesn't seem to know to differentiate between mother, sister, wife, daughter and a prostitute. These politicians have milked Goa like a jersey cow which their grandmother purchased. We the people of Goa and only we can help in regaining the lost glory at least to some extent and not our wonderful politicians whom we elect with boundless zest and over reliance on judiciary is a fallacy.
Though I reside 2000 miles away from Goa, I am ever willing to contribute in what ever way possible to help NGO's (or Goans) in Goa to fight the menace of political pollution. There may be a lot of questions raised on this forum opposing the things I have written. I am neither a journalist, nor a lawyer, a professor or a doctor but a commoner and above all a thorough bred Goan !! Dev Boren Korum B. V. Fernandes Chinchinim Goa.
