*NRGs must speak up! Arwin Mesquita, Abu Dhabi *If we want to know who was responsible for the assaults on Aires and Prajal in Panjim, and Sebastian and the Quepem villagers when protesting illegal mining, all each one of has to do is to take a good look in the mirror. Many protested (some much more than others) in some form against these assaults, but how many more are silent? I think this is because of expectations of political/illegal favours, fear of repercussions, and lack of interest in making things better. We overseas Goans, in particular, are the biggest disappointments for Goa: together we have the power to make a big difference but we unfortunately appear to be too busy to do anything. Are we happy to be silent spectators and allow the few people fighting for Goa to be targets of attacks and intimidation by corrupt politicians and their henchmen (including the police)? -- Please post your comments on my Blog: http://goanidentity.blogspot.com/ -- Please post your comments on my Blog: http://goanidentity.blogspot.com/
