I smell a rat somewhere. After raising this issue in the press and everywhere,
why would she now withdraw the case ?. Has she been intimidated by someone ?
Or are the facts of the case so blurry as to be unprovable in a court of law.
Iif so why drag someone's name through the mud. This is why a cardinal
principle in law is that a person is innocent until
proven guilty. In this case the alleged perpetrator has been almost declared
guilty by the
media. In a similar incident in the Scarlett case, there were not enough facts
to indict the alleged suspect, but he was almost declared guilty by the media.
He was so despondent by the treatment he received that he has decided to leave
Goa for good. One wondera about the quality of policing and police
investigations in Goa. As for the attorneys involved in the case, I cannot
help but feel that they are using the incident for their own
self-aggrandisement.
