In the western financial world, you remain as valuable as your last deal.
As long as you are making money for your employer, everyone is happy.
Make two or three bad deals in a row and you are on the street looking for work.
The cursed part is that it becomes almost impossible to find any
satisfying work when
your last job paid ten times the salary now offered to you.
