Annual Saraswat Cultural and Food Festival
PANAJI- The 9th Annual Saraswat cultural and food festival is being
organised on February 6, 7, 8, 2009. The festival is hosted by Goa Saraswat
Samaj at Panaji Gymkhana Grounds, Panaji. It will be an occasion for all
Goan People to witness various cultural programmes whilst feasting on the
tasty traditional Goan Saraswat Food.The festival provides Saraswats of all
age groups a platform to exhibit their talent and skills in various cultural
activities such as Singing, Dancing, Fancy Dress, Mimicry, Cookery and
various other competitions.
Apart from providing Cultural and food extravaganza, the purpose of the
festival is to promote harmonious cultural interaction with other
communities by our open doors, and it is expected, like previous 8 years,
that thousands of visitors from various strata of our society, as well as,
tourists would attend the festival.
The organisers wish to appeal to all Saraswats from Goa to take part in
organising or participating in the event and thus make the festival a grand
success.
