It is reported that the Goenkarancho Evkott, the premier goan organisation in
New Delhi, has expressed serious concern on almost all Goa Government projects
in Delhi. There is a New Goa Sadan being built. The old Sadan was mostly for
VIPs. Out of 40 staff, only 3 are goans when there are a large number of
capable goans in Delhi who would like to work in Goa Sadan. The Goa Handicraft
Emporium started with a lot of fanfare is closed down. The Goa Food stall at
Delhit run by the GTDC ran into loss, was sold to a Punjabi without giving
goans a chance to run it.Genuine goan food is popular in Delhi.Neither is
talent in entertainment ,available from Delhi goans sought to be used or
tapped for functions or exhibitions. Why is this? One wonders who/which
Committee in the government makes rules and policies and appointments for Goa
sadan and why the goan aam admi is kept right out!
