Could someone well versed with the Portuguese convention of writing names, kindly help me with this:
If someone's name is Antonio de Souza or Francisco D'Mello, if one sets out to abbreviate the persons name would it be Mr Souza or Mr de Souza (or Mr De Souza)? And Mr D'Mello or Mr Mello? Thanks for helping me to educate myself. I read somewhere that Leslie de Noronha should be abbreviated to Mr Noronha (not Mr de Noronha). Is that right?
