Dears Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Immacutate Conception, so here's wishing all ye faithful Christians a very Happy Feast.
As my better half is working and could not take leave, I too skipped the event and so I can't give you the low down on the festal finery that gets paraded in the procession this year. Today's Herald has a three page supplement which has articles about the Churches of Panjim, Margao ad Calungute, but there is no mention of Moira which arguably is a much more distinguished parish and Church [it always features in books about Churches of Goa, sometimes on the cover]. The reason is purely commercial. Not even one advertisement was released to the paper by the skinflint Moidekars. Today evening there is a tiatr by Menino de Bandar [The King of Double Century - proclaims the poster] with the ominous name 'Osso Xevott Tumcho Zait' [This Might Be Your Fate] at 6.30 p.m. in the Moira Church compound. The tickets are priced at Rs. 100, 60, and 40. -- Augusto Pinto 40, Novo Portugal, Moira, Bardez, Goa, India E [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] P 0832-2470336 M 9881126350
