Dears, (as per Miguel) I have read some of the rants of Samir Kelekar and Marshall Mendonca against Sonal Shah.
What is it with you guys? Are you upset with a desi moving up the ranks of recognition? You could do it - if you tried and managed to be that good.....you know! OK Sonal is/was 'associated' with the VHP and the VHP was associated with this and that.... BUT was Sonal directly and knowingly involved with any of the unsavoury actions of any organisation? IF NOT ..... why are you guys all worked up? Or is it a case of intense Trichuris infestation? Now ... just for the sake of argument, let us see how this feels: Marshall Mendonca attended St Vincent's High School in Poona (the same one I attended). It is run by some really hard working and open minded and hearted Jesuits. But let us not worry about the good they do. Let us find something to run down the Jesuits ....and in turn ...Marshall Mendonca. The Indian Jesuits were founded by St Francisco Xavier who was a Spaniard. The Spanish were basically responsible for the Cruel, Unjust and the most unHoly Spanish Inquisition (mainly against the Jews) and the widespread destruction of the prisitine environment and natural people of the Western hemisphere. Should we hold Marshall Mendonca responsible (by association) for the widespread destruction of the prisitine environment and natural people of the Western hemisphere or crimes against the Jews? (some visitors to Goa beaches might get worked up ....you know) Using the prevailing logicus absentis, I believe we should hold Marshall responsible. Similarly, I believe that we should hold Samir Kelekar responsible for the filth in "dirty Panjim" which JoeGoaUK and Rajan Parrikar have photgraphically depicted. After all - If the "freedom fighters" had taken the right steps (and not jusht the pension), the vagrants would never have been able to do the 'naturalis' on the footpaths of Panjim. And ..... Samir Kelekar is a direct descendant of one of these freedom fighters. Is he not? These freedom fighters produced the 'baby' aka Goa .... and neglected it after birth. They only come every month to collect the 'baby money'. This 19th of Dec ....they will come for more folga. But then - Samir is known for defending the indefensible and Now it is Marshall's turn to defend the ridiculous. What is the plan, Marshall ? (I have realised that Samir has NO plan. He follows the regimen: Have mouth, will say and write anything. Does not have to either be factual or make sense. Samir will stick to his pointless point, if necessary, by way of made up stories like "100 prostitutes" or cliches like boot-lickers and 'come down to Goa and fight') So, Marshall - What is the plan? Is it to nauseate and disgust men and women of other beliefs or non-beliefs against Catholics? Is it to turn moderates into extremists? What is this incessant bogus frothing about? Is this what you were taught at St Vincent's? My My .... How much has St Vincent's must have changed since the days I attended that school. Or has it really? Is it just the individual bigotry of Marshall that is showing up instead? 2009 is coming soon. Here is my hope and prayer: I hope that ALL of us - whatever our religious beliefs or non-beliefs - will work with each other for our collective betterment. Just imagine how much we would benefit IF ONLY we had expended this "hate others" energy on "just let's work together and help each other" energy. I hope that we will Keep Religion VERY PRIVATE, and Politicians and their hacks ....out of our lives.
