Thanks Freddy for that lovely article. Look forward to some more from
you. The toddy tapper, the coconut plucker, the fisherwomen, the man who
sold the feni , the barber, the posorkar, were almost treated like family
members.They mixed business with social interaction. They knew the members
of the family and exchanged village gossip. There was a personal touch which
is sadly lacking today.
