Thinking ahead .... Is this the solution for the countries of the South Asia?
The US came together with Canada and Mexico to form NAFTA - North American Free Trade Agreement. These countries had fought several battles about 150-250 years ago. Past enemies have come together as with Germany and rest of Europe to form an EU. More recently, in Europe, it was East and West block nations together in EU. The BBC News article, (below) shows Japan interlinking with China and South Korea. Trade is a pathway to peace. Japan and China's prime ministers and the South Korean president - meeting in Japan - agreed to boost trade and greatly increase currency swaps.. China's Wen Jiabao called the summit, the first of its kind, a "milestone". He said such co-operation would "have real significance" as the crisis impacted on economies around the world. The North Asian nations, former enemies, have held talks on the sidelines of international meetings, but this is their first independent trilateral summit.
