tell me, is it a fashion to degrade the portugues "regime" of "colonial" goa??. and do these writers think that is what people want to read? These portugese-sounding names of writers who want to castigate our heritage!. let me tell you, the goans of portugese heritage have been respected throughout the world; they may have not had the business acumen that the indians brought to goans, but they were faithful and respected workers. catholicsm is not a club of choice; it is a belief in equality, humanity, sharing and love. damn those humans who have used catholicism to their evil advantage!. Christ did not!. Will these same writers tell us about the anti-chistianity killings and hate i hear and read about in the news? as a catholic and a goan, i understand we became catholics, and accepted the tradition, of the portuguese. I am proud of that and thankful for the portuguese in me. By the same token, i stand up, alongside, for the indian making his name in charity, science, financial world, politics and the supposed largest democracy. but i put my head down when i hear of communal hatred, killings in other parts of india, and same being then brought into goa by non-goans. thank you. anthony
