There is an understanding in some quarters that some Goans are O.K. in Swindon primarily because their Portuguese passports facilitated their stay in this London suburb. Of course, it is. But then it is more so because these Goans were educated in Church English schools which were generously subsidized by the post Liberation Governments of Goa whether of Congress or BJP variety.
Imagine the very same Goans applying for Portuguese passports based on their educational qualifications as '' graduates'' of 'Escolas Primarias' i.e. Segundo Grau or as those fortunate few ""PhDs" in 3Rs ( Reading, Writing &Arithmetic ) of parochial schools. Antonio
