Bodgeshwar Zatra to begin tomorrow

The three-day annual feast (Zatra) of the famous Bodgeshwar temple at Mapusa
will
begin from January 9.
Thousands of people from all walks of life throng to Bodgeshwar temple on these
days
to offer prayers to the deity.
On January 9 (Pratishtapana), 'Lagurudra' and other rituals will be performed
at 12
noon, followed by 'Mahaprasad' from 1 pm to 3 pm. In the evening, artistes from
Kala
Academy, Panjim, will present a programme on classical music. The 'Zatrotsav'
will
begin from January 10 after pooja.
On January 11, there will be a 'Satyanarayan Mahapooja' at noon and the
'Zatrotsav'
will end at 11 pm after 'Aarti' and 'Prarthana'.
