He was Dutch Burger, and I believe he got the dispatch from Mrs.
Bandaranaike for chiming out "Lady is a Tramp", three times, on election day.
He came to town, once, and Bombay threw him a big one at the Metro cinema.
I also have fond memories of Hamid and Amin Sayani who recorded the 'Binaca
Hit Parade' out of a studio in Colaba. eric.
