Thank you Freddy Fernandes for regaling us about
the Catholic weddings of yester years.
When I came for my holidays to Goa from England
in Nov/Dec 2008 I was lucky to be invited for two weddings
They had lots to eat and drinkbut what really disappointed
me was the music. The bands played English music and that
mostly of sixties and seventies era. I wanted them to play
our konkani music all our mandos, dulpods or dekknis or
even songs from konkani films, but my pleas fell on
deaf ears. Don,t the Goan bands in Goa play konkani
music or what?
