I don't know what you mean by my "friends" if per chance you mean America, they
have treated African-Americans atrociously but that is for them to reflect
upon, not me. My focus is Goans and an introspection of our own history.
Mario staightens things out:
As the only true provider of reason, truth and peace on Goanet, I know that
even Mervyn knows the difference between Africans and African-Americans, not to
mention you and Americans, and that you live in old Blighty, to which "your
friends here" refers to.
How you construed his question to refer to African-Americans, when the context
of your question was Africa, is a mystery to me, unless you are obsessed with
them for some strange reason.
Regarding treating them atrociously, you are right, they have been treated
really badly. One of them was just elected President, which is a thankless
job, and previously, two of them were the primary representatives of American
foreign policy for the last eight years. Then we have all those millionaire
athletes, corporate CEOs, major city Mayors, and legislators. Even a few state
Governors. What a horrible way to treat a minority group.
However, since Mervyn was referring to Africans and not African-Americans, the
following links show how badly the US has treated Africans:
