The Goa Su-Raj Party , Goa's only ' GREEN PARTY ' has made its committed
stand that:-
Mineral deposits of Goa are the Gift of God to Goa and Goans.
If explotation of these deposits does not benefit the people of Goa and on
the contrary if it takes away their livelihoods, their water, their
agricultural fields, their forest cover, the wild-life and thier mountains
and hills and gives them only the dust to breath instead, then let these
deposits lie burried where they are untouched whether the government of Goa
or the Central government likes it or not.
The Goa Su-Raj Party also demands that all mining operations be stopped
completely until a comprehensive, people friendly mining policy is put in
place with people having a say in determining this policy.
Having said this, Goa Su-Raj is willing to talk to the future GREEN GOA
PARLIAMENTARIANS who are ready to come out, stand tall and be counted to
take on the North and South candidatures of the Party for the Next Lok Sabha
Elections.

We have the Lok Sabha elections coming up in April.
Those who are against mining, do they have the modesty to go to the
people who are the only thing that count in democracy ? or they
still are sticking to their holier than thou attitude cribbing when they
get
defamed but at the same time refusing to go to the people (read stand for
elections)?
Please tell us what is needed. We should have at least one candidate
either in South or North Goa contest on the save goa (I dont mean
Churchill's party) platform.
