I just happened to read an interesting article on TOI - "Cong welcomes former
cricketer Azharuddin in its fold". Has it shocked me ? Oh NO !! Has it amused me
? Oh NO !! What has it exactly done to me ? To tell you the truth, I would very
much like to put my finger in my mouth and force my stomach to go into reverse
gear and throw it all up on the Congress leaders.
Where has integrity, purity, honesty and morality gone ? Shouldn't candidates be
role models ? Does Azharuddin fit the bill ? He abandoned his wife and kids for
the upskirts of a frilly celebrity, what guarantee is there, that he will not
elope with Maya, Umma, Jaya or even Sonia for that matter? He has done it once,
and could well do it again !!!
The highest point in a sportsman's career is to be the Captain of ones National
team. Azharuddin was the most respected and one of the game's great, he sold his
team and his Nation for 30 pieces of silver. He not only did it himself but
influenced others also to get involved in this crime. He and the others were
found guilty. He was banned for life. Has he changed ? A tiger that has tasted
human blood ever resist it ? There is money floating in Parliament and Vidhan
Sabhas like cookies in a biscuit factory. Haven't we seen the evidence of that
in India's highest Public Office ?
All the Parties are full of scoundrels, which reminds me of the saying "politics
is the last resort for scoundrels" and our politicians have proved, it's a fact
!!! My own state of Goa is full of them, basic teachers, third grade lawyers,
union leaders, two bit uneducated seamen, cooks, petty crooks and con artist
have joined politics and become multi millionaires. Politics is surely and
truly the gateway to paradise "fortune"
So why not invite Dawood Ibrahim over, give him immunity and offer him a party
ticket, like the famous "Bandit Queen" from the North East, "Kasab" for that
matter, could be another good candidate, he has supplied us with a lot of vital
info and we should reward him for it. Oh sh-t, how on earth did I forget Osama,
I am sure he would be more than happy to except Indian citizenship for a party
ticket and immunity, then the Capitol will well and truly be full of the GOOD,
the BAD and the UGLY !! That's what we need in Parliament, don't we ?
I pray to the political parties of India PLEASE do not give "Party Tickets" to
people who do not believe in or have good human ethics !!! Gosh !! Am I talking
to the walls ?
