I came across this post in one of the yahoo groups of which I am a member. Extract:
"The irony of our times is that the dark forces that support the RSS and its wholly subsidiaries in their reactionay agenda go abroad and support democrat/labour/liberal in US/UK/Canada! Clearly protection of a culture and the status quo by violence is all fine for these worthies only when the minorities in India are at the receiving end of the bashing. They are staunch status quoist in India opposing any form of reservations (propagating myths of 'merit' to obfuscate the issue). The minute they are in a minority themselves (outside India) they discover the merits of affirmative action/ secular ideologies/protection of minorities. They talk of constitutional rights/due process when they are abroad but would go out of their way to obstruct the legal system and thwart the operation of due process in India (see the tamasha in Gujarat after the SC has authorised action against minister (Maya Kodnani) in Modi Government). These guys are the bane of India and the ideology that they are propagating through the RSS is as much diabolic as it is retrograde. Hopefully the women and youth of India and the progressive elements within all communities (including the Brahmin community) will not get swayed from the path to a tolerant, secular, egalitarian and prosperous India.
