Nice report. Reminds us that we all need reform and improvement in our approaches. It was good of UCAN (a Jesuit-run agency) to carry such a report, without getting unduly defensive.
The idea of tuning in to other's perception also needs to be appreciated. I'm sure the Church would have not launched on such a venture even in the 1960s. The criticism struck me as reasonable and valid. If we are willing to take the praise, we should also accept the criticism -- specially when it is well-intended as what the UCAN report suggests of this event. Of course, there could always be a debate over which voices (and motives) should be given credibility, and also what degree of openness one is willing to implement while launching such a venture.
