GULF-GOANS e-NEWSLETTER (since 1994) Tiatr Academy opens on Monday Herald News desk/Feb. 11, 2009 www.oheraldo.in Tiatr Academy of Goa will be inaugurated by Master Vaz, an eminent tiatrist and recipient of Goa State Cultural Award, in the presence of Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on February 16, 2007 at 5.30 pm at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The inauguration of the Academy is jointly organised by Directorate of Art & Culture, Panjim and Tiatr Academy of Goa, says a government press release. Fifteen tiatr artists from Mumbai and Goa — Ophelia, Antonette, Titta Pretto, Anita, Clara, Lucasa, Star of Arrosi, Antonio Moraes, C D Silva, Thomas Antao, Remmie Colaco, M Boyer, John Claro, Master Vaz and Philomena Crasto will be honoured on the occasion. The main function will be followed by a cultural programme of comedy skits and songs by professional and amateur artists — Roseferns, Peter-Roshan, Bab Myton, Victor, Maria Menezes, Rosy Alvares, Lawy Travasso, Comedians: Joana, Edilson, Baby Rioma, Prince Jacob, Humbert, Agostinho, Selvy, Jesus, besides Hortencio Pereira, Anil Kumar, Fatima, Rocky, Baby Zlyana, Xavier Gomes, Marcus Vaz, Felcy, C D Silva, Shaikh Amir, Marcelino de Betim......
