What Venita Coelho writes in her latest column is truly inspiring. How the land sharks who had eyes on prime real estate for their gated colonies, must be ruing the day they accidentally turned her into an activist!
>From what she writes, it appears the GBA put their weight behind the Moira peoples' committee. One can only hope that other such organizations also joined in the fray. While the modalities followed by Moira village to counteract the builder-friendly RP2021 are exemplary, the real wisdom to be gleaned from Venita's recent column is saved for the end, where she writes, "If one village can forget its differences and put its weight behind saving the future, other villages can as well". Change 'village' in the above to 'Goa' and we may just have the ruling satraps on the run!
