I am not an expert on art but there is, in my opinion, a marked similarity between the work of Norman Rockwell and the earlier work (specially the diaries) of our very own Mario Miranda. If you check through Mario's work chronologically you will find he moved from being realistic to doing extreme caricatures as he defined his own distinctive style. Whereas Rockwell fine tuned his idealised realism and moved from illustrating to painting for better effect. Anyone care to analyse or comment?
