Yes, can India do an Obama?

We may be divided politically into countries, but at this point in history
it is beyond doubt that we are in the same boat, economically and
environmentally. Let's not sink our world! We need to go beyond old ways of
thinking, beyond a narrow definition of politics, and ready ourselves for a
new world which demands from us a greater understanding and maturity as
human beings.

Mario responds:

God forbid an Obama emerges in India! India has already experimented with
Obama-style socialism and massive Obama-style government spending and
Obama-style government control of important sectors of the economy using a
small army of bureaucrats, and the results were disastrous. Only after
Manmohan Singh scrapped extreme socialism and inspired a renaissance in
government attitude and policy did India's inherent economic vitality re-emerge
and begin to assert itself in India and around the world.

The current Obama is going to cost the world dearly while making the US weak
and vulnerable to jihadi attack like the last Democrat president, Bill Clinton
did, because of the massive cuts in defense spending that are being planned,
even as Iran and N. Korea are trying to take advantage of his inexperience in
foreign affairs by escalating their nuclear and missile programs. They know
their window is likely to be the next four years.

In his first 30 days Obama and his Democrat party have pledged to spend more
money we do not have than the total cost so far of the Iraq and Afghan wars
plus the response to Hurricane Katrina, all while falsely proclaiming that the
US economy is the worst since the Great Depression, and even more falsely
proclaiming that he is going to cut the current deficit in half by 2012.

The worst economy in the US since the Great Depression was under President
Jimmy Carter, Obama's fellow Democrat party member, and Obama is well on the
way to making the economy as bad as that under Carter if not worse.

Unlike Obama, who is addressing the economy with mostly massive vote buying
spending programs and wasteful socialist-style spending, the Carter depression
was turned around by President Ronald Reagan with income tax rate cuts and
slowdowns in government spending. We know that works because Bush 43 used the
same ideas to turn the economy around after 2001. However, both Reagan and
Bush could have done a lot more to curb wasteful federal spending. Now we will
have even more wasteful spending that ever before in our entire history thanks
to Obama, who has been planning this socialist assault on all the factors that
made the US economy an engine of the world's economy, ever since he got into
politics.
