I AM TAKING THE LIBERTY TO POST THE COMMENT OF JOHN DESA -RgdsMario (My comment
is also put up..)

Freddy/Mario,

Thank you for the beautiful poem based on the "Rice Fields" of Goa.

It reminds me of my childhood days in Goa. Pez was prepared at my house, but
not regularly, however, one of my Aunty (5 minutes walking distance) would
prepare pez of (Kosunche Thandu, Korgut Thandu) every day. If Pez was not
made at home, then I would go to my Aunty's place and have Pez over there.
Another Aunty would make Ambil, once in a while, and I would enjoy that too.

It also reminds me of the paddy grown 100 meters across a rivulet behind my
house (Cortalim) in a Khazon/Manos. Farmers would grow paddy over there
naturally without any fertilizer. I beleive the Khazon is sold to a UK based
company for a song.

I also remember my boarding days in Curtorim, a village full of fields and also
the paddy smell after reaping.

Would appreciate leads to purchase (Kosunche Thadnu/Korgut Thandu) in Goa.

COMMENTS FROM MARIO
Dear Freddy

It is GOOD of you to remind me, us & other GOANS of the wonderful fields(Xet)
given to us Free by GOD and of the times FOOD (especially RED RICE(MOTEM
TANNU/XETANTLEM TANNU & other foods...) which we ate and stored in plenty for
365 days(especially filled in barns for mansoons).

And sickness those days remained at a distance from our bodies, with the
traditional, regular, grandmothers delicious PEZ( 11 o clock) with 'Kharem'.

Xet is a Goans PRIDE, let us try and retain as much land/fields as possible and
try how we can make a plentiful produce.

a) GOANS DO NOT SELL LAND/FIELDS
b) GOANS DO NOT fall for 5 star pleasures/crores Rs. lying in the banks and
food. (Oily Fries and overcooked &grilled delicacies and all coloured soft
drinks only REDUCES our lifes and health and our HEARTS are EVER-READY for the
ATTACK.

What will we do then with the crores in bank?

So watch out, Enjoy XETANTLEM TANNU AND ADSORACHEM UDOK and find out the
difference in our health.

Long Live Goans. Live happily Goans. Thank you Freddy
