When this bypass will be ready? Around this time last year, it was said it will be complete after the monsoon. Then after it was said by Oct 2008 then come December, Again January (2009) then by March. We are in the month of March now but going by the pace of development it looks like it will take some more months.
Procession of Saints is round the corner (March 30) but it seem the bypass would not be ready by then. There is not a single day where one can drive smoothly (without traffic Jam) from the Zuari till Agassaim Market. Even the stops made by Local KTC buses result in traffic jam on either side. Our sleeping local MLA Silveira seems not much interested to take this up on priority basis. And our PWD minister seems very busy in getting a Congress Ticket to his daughter. The bypass costing Rs. 5 crore is undertaken by Goa PWD.
