I definitely agree with No 8 that it is tedious to wade through too much lengthy argumentative opinions, especially as with certain fixed mindsets it is hopeless to broach religion, politics or finance:- The reason is from my own experience:
I was bogged down for over 10 years in my campaign for "affordable living" in the UK. Although I won community champion awards, I did not find it easy to shepherd the sheep, or to fend off the wolves in sheep's clothing, ie. the local politicians who felt I was trespassing on their territory and also embarrassing them by unintentionally highlighting the flaws, failures, anomalies and ambiguities of the status quo, which suits them well. I sympathise with the frustrations of young & older Goans who have few illusions about what overdevelopment without infrastructure, health & safety, essential waste cleansing and sanitation for all citizens. Therefore rather than wade through all the disparate posts, So ref No 10: I agree & support Gilbert Lawrence, there ought to be sub-divisions especially for social since I would like a more sociable, less tendentious or tedious general list, so I vote for Gilbert Lawrence's topics listed below, which I have given 1. 2 or 3 stars for personal preference: 1. Current goa-centric issues.* 2. Historical Goa-centric issues. 3. Goan Diaspora issues.* 4. Indian national issues. 5. International issues as they affect Goans.** 6. Social-cultural issues.*** Rita Grootendorst
