The answer is this:
Ever since the Govt. via the Kadamba Bus Corp. started the non stop Bus
services between Margao and Panjim and between Panjim and Mapusa; they thru
their corrupt Traffic Police and loss making Kadamba Corp. decided to stop this
private Taxi Sharing Service.

They do not realise that they effectively denied passengers the 'CHOICE' of
travelling relatively comfortably, in shared private Taxis, without having to
'RUB Shoulders With Dirty 'Ghanttis' in Kadamba Buses. Buses are Only a few
Rupees cheaper anyway! The long Queues at Dirty Kadamba Bus Stations are simply
not worth it.

U see I have said before: The whole of India is one Maha Slum!!! The Slum like
Culture and relevant attitudes are to blame always, nothing else!

JoeGoaUk reminded me of the shared Colva taxis via his pic "talking photos".

Reminds me of some great childhood times when I have travelled in shared
taxis from Margao to Panjim, Panjim to Mapusa etc etc.

I wonder what has happened to that business. I suppose it is not viable
any more ?

Or is it that individualism has taken over where well-off people don't want
to share space with anyone else and want a taxi all on their own ?

Really, a shared taxi was an economical option for those who also had some
time constraints, needed some more comfort than buses, and were willing to
pay a bit more.
