[Goanet] Dabolim airport - Buses Yes, I too remember the Indian Airlines Coach leaving from Dempo house at noon. I think it was free for its Pax. There were no pvt. or low fare airlines then, yet the coach seen coming almost half empty.
Goa Tourist Taxi owners would not be happy about it if any shuttle service is re-started. Currently, they are at war with the Hotel Management for encouraging pvt. or charted tours. Pre-paid taxis drivers at Dabolim too would not take it lightly. Most tourist arriving on charter flights with package like HB/FB basis, their transfers to and fro airport are included in the package. Coming to the fare they charge from Anjun to Dabolim airport i.e. Rs.750 sounds quite reasonable to me. Going by the pre-paid Taxi charge (see link below) chart which is 2 years old, one can see the charges are almost the same. Rickshaw may also be available there. Alternately, using the same shuttle bus, one can even get down at Vasco city and then take a taxi from there (near MMC) and it should cost around Rs.125 IMP: KTC shuttles are not design to take heavy baggage like suitcases etc. It has no luggage box or compartment. Only a light hand bag may be allowed to carry with you. Today with the taxis charge Rs.700 to Rs.750 from the airport to Calangute and Anjuna respectively. This is ridiculously high!!!
