STT: Story of a father http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nSjlqpBcyA
On his birthday, the old retired (Sea-man- see a bag ‘P&O, Canbera’) father was upset to see none of his sons wished him nor his picture appeared in the newspaper which he used to do for his both sons every year. But the daughter-in-laws had something else in their minds – Sharing the burden. So, at the advice of their wives, the sons approach their father to tell him that he now has to live with both sons in turns i.e. 8 days. What choice did the father have? Sons and their wives treat him like a slave making to even wash their clothes which implies ‘nothing come for free now a days’. Seeing the sorry state of this old father a friend of his vows to help him one day. Unable to cope up with the hardship at their own sons’ house, the father decides to leave the house never to come back. The friend arrives in the nick of the time and says ‘I would like to take you at my place, will you come to live with us? The father replied ‘Yes, yes..I don’t want to die here’ Some months later, the sons come to visit their father and to take him home not because they wanted to but due the pressure from the society. The father refused. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nSjlqpBcyA Moral of the story: Do not give to yours sons/daughters every thing that you may have. If you have to, do so only after keeping at least half of it to yourself. Just because we had a good day YESTERDAY and TODAY, there is no guarantee that TOMORROW too will bring us a good day. No one has seen TOMORROW. Do not take risks. Act wisely.
