I wish someone in Goa and Mumbai could clarify how the postal rates for
magazines sent abroad (in this case to Dubai) works.
I got The Goan Review (60 pages including cover) and it had Rs 48 worth of
stamps. It weighed 80 gms. This was mailed from Mumbai.

The Gulab (March issue, 60 pages including cover) had Rs 35 worth of stamps. It
weighed 110 gms. Mailed from Goa.

The Oct issue of Goa Today (72 pages including cover) weighted 155 gms. I
forgot how much worth of stamps in had.

I discontinued my Goa Today subscription because the subscription rates were
increased. The editor said that postal rates had gone up and that it would cost
Rs. 90 to mail an issue.

In the latest issue of The Goan Review, it says that the "Airmail Subscription
has been increased to Rs 600 with immediate effect due to steep rise in
postage." TGR is published bi-monthly. single copy Rs 15 and Rs 20 for outside
Mumbai.

Gulab single copy is Rs 15 in Goa and Rs 20 in Mumbai. Goa Today, from the Oct
issue) is Rs 12 and Rs 18 outside Goa.

It is strange that a heavier Gulab carries lower postage stamp than TGR. It
seems it is cheaper to mail from Goa than from Mumbai.

Since I don't have the current issue of Goa Today, can someone let me know what
is the subscription price for Gulf countries? I had an email from the editor
telling me the new rates but I deleted it.
