Rajan's 'Reptile Watch' has exposed double standards of goans. Too many people
have eaten of the forbidden apple in this garden of Cidade. They feel ashamed
of their nakedness and play hide and seek. This is why we hear all the utterly
butterly salutations "My friend Timblo....., but......" Goa has been destroyed
by the elite intelligencia and not by the poor who have been rendered
vulnerable by the games of the elite. The elite GBA is a perfect example. It
wants the RP modified only to a certain extent that will not disturb the
exploits of those who survive on real estate and construction. None of the
elite want to touch the TCP ACt which is the source of muh problems. No one is
concerned about the Panchayat amendment Bill that is pending before the House
committee. No one from the elite is bothered about mega projects in villages.
No one is bothered about 6 lane highways thru' Goa's villages. But Cidade issue
is suddenly made to look so serious compared to other issues by none other than
the elite. Goa's social action world is about deadly reptiles that crawl
everywhere and selectively strike those who would threaten the present system.
Some reptiles have been roaming to incite village level leaders to contest the
elections little knowing that Goa is small and builder agendas get exposed.
Good to know that OBAMASKS are back in GBA on the cidade issue. It is like
Bruce Lee's 'Return of the Dragon'. Some will dissapppear after the election
while some others have started grooming themselves for next State elections.
