The problem in Goa and other parts of the country is that politicians get
blamed for anything and everything. We are systematically trained to blame the
Bristish and Portuguese for all our social and communal problems. If not the
British and Portuguese it is the minorities or the fundamenstalists,
or..............
The spouse of the alcoholic always balmes the friends and the bar owner for the
problem. The parent of a delinquent child will blame the bad company of friends
for their wards problem. They all just refuse to see their contibution to all
this.
Just as addiction cannot survive without social acceptance, the political mess
in Goa will not be able to survive without collaborative behaviour of the goan
people. Goa's mess is a social disease an cannot be blamed on politicians alone.
Blaming others for the problem is nothing but Denial of the problem. 'Denial'
is the disease of the ego. It prevents any change.
If we are concerned for Goa let us stop blaming and start owning responsibility
for the mess.
The question should be, 'Do I contribute to this mess? What can I do to solve
this mess?'
Only then will Goa will for what we desire it to be. Let us start from today.
Jai Ho! Jai Goa!
