Manoel Antonio was one of the worst warlords in Mozambique/Zimbabwe. His war
effort lasted less than a decade. After a particular violent rampage, the local
tribes, incensed by the rape of teen-aged girls by the warlords troupes, united
and killed the warlord.

Manoel Antonio's fate? His body and limbs were cut into pieces and distributed
to the local witch doctors.

Mario observes:

Selma,

I checked the family history. No way was I related to this moron who was
clearly a bad actor. He couldn't even spell the name correctly:-))

The book "The making of Rhodesia" by Hugh Marshall Hole, page 154, says he came
to Africa in 1850, was a "Goanese" goonda under the patronage of the
Portuguese, terrorized wide areas on the country and "...possessed a harem
recruited from the young girls of the native kraals;..." He obviously did not
share the common Indian/Goan obsession for fair-skinned women.

By contrast, I am a defender of young girls, fair skinned or dark skinned, and,
as everyone on Goanet knows by now, my message is one of reason, truth and
peace:-)) The only ones who should feel any cyber terror are the clueless, the
factless and the illogical, and Christians with delusions of caste, and then,
only if they are immune to being educated:-))

Mervyn says General Gouveia ended up as the main course at dinner for a bunch
of witch doctors.

In http://encyclopedia.jrank.org/GAG_GEO/GAZALAND.html, I found the following,
"In 1892 Gouveia was killed in a war with a native chief".

They could both be right.
