Dear Cederico,

No, The GSRP shall not keep you guessing any longer.

We did have a candidate in Mr. Rajendra Kakodkar [MTech] of Margao to contest from the South but the intra party consensus between UGDP and GSRP has accepted the formidable candidature of Matanhy Saldanha and Goa Su-Raj will be actively canvassing for his WIN which is indisputable.

As far are the North is concerned, we did have a couple of requests but we have played hem down. Goa Su-Raj is presently setting up its 'grass-roots' organizations in many constituencies and without the same, there is no point in contesting elections.

Even for the next assembly elections, this party will not field a candidate in a constituency which has not established its CWC [Constituency Working Committee]. It must be noted that so far the party was contesting only to gain publicity and/or for reasons which are not understood by many.

In short, GSRP believes that 'SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE'

Thank you for the query

With kind regards

floriano

Subject: [Goanet] Too Many Parties Contesting LS Elections in Goa

Dear Goanetters,

Just as the day draws near for the Lok Sabha elections and even as the main political party in Goa -- the Congress -- still is not able to declare its candidates for the upcoming lok sabha elections...i wonder how many more parties will throw their hat in the ring...

while some are spoilsports and will loose their deposit, although their pockets are made full by the parties that have paid them to play spoil sport at the hustings...

I wonder if GOA/SURAJ, and our good-old-friend-with-the-master-plan, Mr Lobo are contesting the elections this time around....would love to find out.

Good luck guys...
