It is election time in Goa. A time for surprises and jokes. Churchill can
produce retired Congress observer Sharma in support of Valanka and Congress can
lease it's party loyalist to contest on a NCP ticket. The latest being the
emergence of Niraxi Goykarancho Avaz (NGA) many of whom will return to being
'dhadoxi Goykar' after the elections. They have resolved not to support both
the National Parties, Congress and BJP. So who will they support? It is
anyone's guess after reading the list of the niraxi goykars. Two of the eight
groups Goychea Ramponkarancho Ekvott and Goa Movement Against SEZ are both
controlled by Mathany Saldanha. Then we have a few others who are in the pocket
of Radharao and company. FATODD which has now landed in 'political Khatodd' is
like a tiatr production of none other than Teotonio whose history will tell it
all. And with Mathany Saldanha the blue-eyed boy of BJP contesting on the
derecognised political party UGDP and with his groups forming the core of NGA
who else can they be expected to support? Do not vote BJP and Congress but no
problem in voting their trusted collaborators, what is the difference? So is
this not all about 'Kator' (scissors) a symbol that rightly fits the UGDP and
appropriate for the gullible goykar?
