The Goa Su-Raj Party fully endorse and overwhelmingly support what Beny Perreira has said. If this party would want to do a support write-up and/or an appeal to Goans, exhorting them to vote for any person in the Mormugao Constituency in this 15th Lok Sabha Elections on 23rd April, 2009, it would be for Matanhy Saldanha. And the appeal would not be any different from what Beny Perreira has made. In fact, we at Goa Su-Raj Party adopt the same as ours with due appreciation and salutes to the author.

This Party's thinking is on the following lines.

1. That the Bharatiya Janata Party must, lock stock and barrel, transfer its vote-bank account in favour of Matanhy Saldanha for the reasons that:-
   (a) Goa BJP will never win this seat in South Goa.
(b) Goa BJP will have made it easy for the Congress to win with the three pronged fight. (c) Goa BJP will be wrong to understand that the division of secular votes will seal its win.

2. That the Goa BJP must be happy to see Congress defeated, and must infact work for the deafeat of its candidate Shri. Francisco Sardinha.
We say this for the following reasons:-

(a) During Taleigao's by-elections in 2005, the BJP could have defeated Babush Monserrate (if it sincerely wanted to) by massively supporting the third candidate in the fray which was the candidate fielded by the Goa Su-Raj Party. In fact this was communicated to Goa BJP, more specifically Manohar Parrikar. But Goa BJP did not heed to this advice. It was important for Goa to defeat Babush at that time especially when it was his aim to get elected unopposed, and it would be spared a lot of heartaches. Goa Su-Raj Party believes that Goa BJP and Babush Monserrate were only enemies from the
outside but close friends from the inside and still are.

(b) During Elections 2007, it was the repeat of the Taleigao's affair, where Dayanand Narvekar could have been easily defeated by the BJP not fielding its candidate and again supporting the candidate fielded by this party. It will be a curious thing to note that Dayanand Narvekar collected almost the same number of votes he had collected in the previous [2002] elections. In this instance, Shri. Shripad Naik as the president of the BJP toyed with the idea for 15 odd days and succumbed to the party ideology to give the win to Dayanand Narvekar instead.

3. The battle facing the 15th Lok Sabha Elections is whether the nation is to be handed over in the hands of L.K. Advani and the BJP which is proven COMMUNAL to the core, OR in the hands of Dr. Manmohan Singh or any other secular person of the third front. And we believe the later option must be signed, sealed and delivered if we want to see the good of the nation. And, it is HOPED that Matanhy Saldanha, with all his pent-up hatred for the Congress, which is fully justified, will not vote with the communal BJP to install L.K. Advani on the chair of the Prime Minister if he wins, afterall (if it comes to brass tacts where a single vote will be most precious) That would be a huge let-down for Goa and Goans.

4. IMPORTANTLY, somebody must ask the above question of Matanhy Saldanha so that he is on record. Goa Su-Raj Party will certainly do so, at the
   appropriate time.

Subject: [Goanet] Vote for Mathany Saldanha

Dear Voters of South Goa,

I am expat in Dubai would like to humbly request the electorate in Goa to kindly vote for Mathany Saldanha in the forthcoming elections.

At least we have a man who has fought and is still fighting for the causes that are dear to GOA and GOANS. His one seat may not alter any equations in Delhi but it means a lot for us Goans. The Congress and the BJP are two sides of a coin Either of them will have a say in the coming govt. But with Mathany we have a voice which will atleast be noticed and not bulldozed like how the present congress govt is doing in all spheres. I am not bothered whether UGDP is alive or not.

Sardinha has not done anything worthwhile except introduce the bull fight bill knowing very well that it will go to the dust bin. We have more issues dear to us than bull fights. I am happy that the state assembly has passed some legislation in this regards courtesy Lourenco. We have a coterie of robbers in Congressman who you can see are fighting for the thirty pieces of silver. Right from the CM to Sarpanchas, even observers, all work not for party goals but for their own personal benefits. Its a shame till today Congress cant fight on its own in GOA. In south they are fighting amongst themselves and in North, they could not even put up a candidate but bowed down to the NCP whose Pawar is still jumping around looking for new alliances. He is still nursing hopes of becoming PM. God save India, if such is a case. If thats the case, we could even ask Bangarappa to be the PM.

Sawaikar might be a good fellow but he has no grassroot support. Hope the votes are not polarised along religious lines. I had never heard his name on any public issue. May be he requires more time to groom but i dont want him to win just because he is a Hindu.

For us Christians, its time to tell the Congress, that enough is enough. If we dont save our Goa today for Goynkars today, it will be lost forever. Let Goa then, be ruled by Ghanttis, because thats the rate at which Goa is being conquered by migrants.

Let us all, Hindus, Christians, Muslims of Niz Goenkarponn in South Goa please vote for MATHANY SALDANHA. The Ghantti votes will always be bought or will always vote for their godfathers in Congress or BJP.

From far away Dubai, you have all my support. Vote for Mathany.

Mog Assum Dhi

Beny Pereira
