BMX REUNION CELEBRATIONS - GOA April 11-16th 2009 The Reunion organized by BMX-UK has started with a bang. Not even the heat could stop BMXers from attending the first two events.Their entire contingent of 60-odd Brits landed in Goa a week ago.Their committee who has worked tirelessly during the last year - making several trips to Goa to plan for this event are seeing the fruits of all their hard work. Their commitment and resolve should be highly commended. Together with their families, they have made personal sacrifices to make this Reunion a memorable and nostalgic event for all BMXers not only from Goa but all those who have arrived from Australia, Middle East, Europe, Kenya, USA and Canada. Kudos to the entire committee under the great leadership of Herbert Fernandes. The Reunion is already a huge success. I spoke to a few at the Welcome Party and with all the fun, excitement and music, I could barely hear them !! I can only imagine what the main event on Wednesday 15th April will be like - Goa is going to be hit by the BMX Tornado- Marinha Dourada will be Rocking n Rolling!! The local BMX-Goa, BOBs and Chillies are also actively involved in promoting the Reunion. Collectively with their immense resources and with a very attractive rate of Rs350/head, the Sundowner should have a record attendance.
