It appears that the South Goa LS election winner could either be from the Congress, BJP or the UGDP. Only 2 Parties i.e. the BJP & the UGDP have at least come out, with statements to protect Goa & its Identity; yes critics might be right in pointing out flaws and that these could be just election gimmicks, but surely we can appreciate, that this is much better vs. the Congress party, which is totally ignoring the critical need to save Goa & its Identity. Surely the reasons are obvious i.e. the Congress party has huge illegitimate stakes in destroying Goa and hence, why should it even talk about special status for Goa!!
I believe that given our limited choices, Mathany Saldanha is the most suitable candidate for the South Goa Lok Sabha seat. Whilst critics can give a list of all his faults, surely they are insignificant compared to candidates like Francisco Sardinha; who I need not detail facts on corruption, lack of involvement in fight for Konkani or anything for Goa or its identity; and that he has done, what it took to be in power, including working with those very elements i.e. the BJP that he now calls communal. Sardinha has been given ample chances/time in power with no worthy results; so it is now time to change!!
