There can be no doubt that Ayurvedic medications or Guiness  might be
/ are useful. They might even be better than some or all of the
allopathic drugs we know. But .... for physicians to ethically
prescribe them to their patients, their effects, side-effects,
benefits and/or side-effects must be studied, and their use
justified..

I don't know about Guiness, but I can testify that there is NOTHING a fine
bottle of Feni (hic!) will not cure - at least until tomorrow morning:-))  Best 
of all it requires no prescription from any physician:-))

BTW, it is high time that Ayurvedic as well as the so-called "alternative" 
medications were studied by unbiased organizations to the same standards as 
allopathic medicines, with or without the cooperation of those who produce them.

We even have a Goanetter who is a major promoter of alternative treatments and 
medications who makes the most flamboyant claims which have never been put to 
any recognized test that every allopathic medication is put through:
